FIA Technical List 52 Fire Extinguishers

FIA Standard 8865-2015 Technical List 52 extinguishers represents the latest and most advanced benchmark for plumbed-in fire suppression systems. This regulation has significantly elevated safety requirements across top-tier motorsport categories and in some of the most demanding environments where fire suppression reliability is critical.

Since it's introduction, FEV Fire Suppression has remained at the forefront of fire safety innovation — consistently leading the industry in developing cutting-edge systems that exceed the stringent testing and regulatory demands of Standard 8865.

In 2019, we introduced our next-generation product line: the N-TEC Series. These systems utilize FK-5-1-12, a clean extinguishing agent engineered as the new standard for high-performance fire suppression. This advanced agent not only extinguishes fires within seconds but also safeguards valuable vehicle components and electronics from damage and suitable for Hybrid and Electric vehicles integration.

Our FIA 8865 Technical List 52 certified N-TEC systems are engineered for both simplicity and effectiveness. Featuring a streamlined installation process with one multi-angle cockpit bar nozzle and two engine X nozzles, the N-TEC Series allows for quick, precise, and reliable setup.

Part of our FIA Technical List 52 extinguishers, the CF-TEC Series uses Coldfire, an eco-friendly, sustainable agent that rapidly removes heat, offering unmatched protection for motorsport vehicles. The range includes both mechanical and electrical activation options, making it the only mechanical system and most cost-effective solution on the market for Technical List 52 compliance. Compatible with fuels up to 85% ethanol, CF-TEC combines safety, performance, and sustainability.

Today, these systems are trusted by many of the world’s leading teams and manufacturers who demand the highest levels of safety, performance, and compliance with FIA’s rigorous standards.

The FIA 8865-2015 Technical List 52 is recommended for all racing categories but it is mandatory for Rally 1, Rally 2, Rally 3, rally 4, Rally 5, RX1 & 1E, 3 and 4, All WEC categories, WTCR, ETCR, T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5.
